Heceta Beach, located just north of Florence, Oregon, is a favorite spot for our family. It offers stunning sunsets that paint the sky in hues of orange and pink, creating a picturesque backdrop for our evenings together. For those traveling in a van, Heceta Beach presents the perfect opportunity to park with your back to the ocean, open the back doors, and fully immerse yourself in the stunning view. The gentle ocean breeze and the sound of the surf create a serene environment that makes it easy to relax and unwind.

Another family favorite is Whittaker Creek, which holds its own charm. On this trip, we were incredibly lucky to see a magnificent bald eagle enjoying breakfast across the river. The moment was a breathtaking sight; watching such a majestic bird in its natural habitat filled us with awe.

Oregon is truly full of wonderful opportunities to enjoy nature.
